How Does It Feel?  On this his birth date, a charcoal drawing of iconic Robert Allen Zimmerman aka Bob Dylan   Who else but Dylan could be in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a winner of the Pulitzer Prize?

Like his hero, Woody Guthrie, Dylan started as a folk artist in the tradition of a modern troubadour.  His conversion to electric caused outrage among his loyal fans [who else could inspire such passion simply by picking up an electric guitar?}

While others from the 60s long ago settled into 'nostaligic' acts, Dylan still remains a creative force.  Due in no small part to his constant shifts in music but most importantly because the bedrock of his art remains his prose.

Is there a lyricist whose work has been so parsed and dissected for meaning than Bob Dylan's?  Is there a lyricist who can withstand such scrutiny and still leave us somewhat baffled and amazed?  His work is Time Out of Mind.

Gazing at the photos of Dylan, one is struck by those all -seeing, piercing eyes.  The seer of his times.  How often those times may change.
