{Spirit of the Games} ~ Olympic Games

Ah, it's that time again.
Every four years, the world stands still as the Olympics take center stage.
I dug into my vault of old drawings and cartoons and found this one.
The famous Discobolus sculpture in Black-Figure Vase Painting style as homage to the Ancient Greeks who were the inspiration behind the Games but with a more modern twist:  the discus is a coke bottle cap to indicate the 'real thing' that animates the Games today. Enjoy!
