The Daily Show ~ Jon Stewart says good bye

End of an era with the news that Jon Stewart has announced his retirement from The Daily Show.

Difficult to imagine now, but when the show started, few gave Stewart much chance with a show devoted to political humor.  He proved them wrong and now the television landscape is dotted with more shows hoping to achieve his success.  In his heyday, polls showed that a large number of Americans preferred their 'news' from Stewart's Daily Show versus the  traditional 'real' television news choices.  {Brian Williams, anyone?}
