On William Shakespeare's birthday, a watercolor illustration I completed back in 2004 in the Ottawa Citizen for an article on the primacy of words in Song.

I modernized 'the Bard' putting him in Rap headgear and 'salute' to make the point: times may change but the primacy of the word on popular music remains the same.
