Famous member of Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, he embarked upon a solo career penning such iconic albums as Harvest, and After the Gold Rush, and Rust Never Sleeps. His sound is distinct and unforgettable. He avoids the overly polished production and remains true to his fok, garage-band ethos - the rawer, the more powerful, the better. Not surprisingly, while many of his contemporaries expressed dismay and hostility towards the Punk movement, Neil Young recognized how they were a breath of fresh air that restored to rock some of it's initial energy and drive.
